Joyful! Joyful!

The African Mass held on 12th April at 3:30pm was a truly uplifting and memorable celebration of faith and culture. With over 50 people in attendance, the atmosphere was filled with vibrant energy, joyful praises, rhythmic dances, and deep expressions of happiness. The liturgy, led by Fr Michael, beautifully reflected the richness of African spirituality and communal worship.

We were honoured by the presence of two other priests, including the Vicar General of the Diocese, Canon Kevin Golden, whose support added great significance to the occasion. The gathering also welcomed Africans from England and Glasgow, many friends and lovers of Africa, creating a warm and inclusive community spirit. After the liturgy, there were light refreshments, giving everyone the opportunity to share fellowship, build new friendships, and strengthen existing bonds.

This celebration was not just an event, but a moment of unity and shared joy, reminding us of the beauty of diversity in worship. We hope to continue this African Mass in St Ninian’s, once every month and warmly invite everyone to come, participate, and worship with us. It will only get better next time.

YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO WORSHIP WITH US
