It was sunshine all the way as the parish gathered for the opening of the Mgr Ken McBride Orchard.
Former parish priest Mgr Ken was delighted to return for the opening. Cutting the ribbon, he said it was wonderful to be back and to be greeted by Father Michael and to see so many old friends.
He added that he might be long gone, but no one from St Ninian’s was forgotten, for he remembered everyone at Mass every day. “My list of names must be over 60-strong,” he said.
Following the official opening, in glorious sunshine, everyone retired to our newly-renovated hall for a sumptuous spread.
As one of our parishioners commented, “What a wonderful afternoon, full of happiness and good friends.”
Amen to that!
