The gardeners had a lovely afternoon working with the children from St Ninians primary school yesterday. Over thirty enthusiastic children arrived and split into groups, working alongside us to plant bedding plants, fill the wildlife stations, dig a new border for future plants and then help with tidying up! There was lots of chat and many suggested that they would like to go home and do some gardening of their own which is wonderful! A different group will come next week for jobs such as planting bulbs, seeds and more bedding plants, repairing the bug hotels and generally having fun 🙂
